Managerial Initiatives Foundation (Fundacja Inicjatyw Menedżerskich, FIM) was established in November 2007. It is a nongovernmental organization set up to promote, create and implement various organizational and managerial initiatives supporting the functioning of the three sectors: public, nongovernmental and commercial. The foundation employs
10 persons on a full time basis, as well as it cooperates with a couple of dozens of trainers and advisors. The managerial body, run by the president Paweł Prokop, administers the work of the foundation. The supervisory board of the managerial body consists of three persons who represent scientific circles.
The foundation implements a number of social programs focused on youth, employed persons, and socially excluded groups. Furthermore, FIM conducts research and analysis concerned with strategy of regional and local development. It holds a vast experience in trainings and consultancy in contemporary managerial solutions organized for public administration, commercial companies, and social organizations.
The foundation is certified by the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 standard and by the Information Security Management System according to ISO 27001.
An important part of the FIM’s work consists of promotion of the Polish practice, experience and solutions, as well as sharing those with international partners, with a special emphasis being put on the former Soviet republics (like Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Tajikistan, Moldavia). The collaboration with our eastern partners is focused on developing stable cooperation and building partnership between NGOs and public administration (the development of system of social participation) in a number of areas like: supporting excluded and marginalized, monitoring public programs, or developing a system of trainings for bureaucrats in partnership with local NGOs. Since 2007, Foundation has realized over a dozen of programs in cooperation with eastern partners.
